Solar Thermal

Concentrated solar projects are not abundant in the U.S. largely due to financing and water supply difficulties.  TAS Energy is reinvigorating an old market with its advanced design solar-to-power (S2P) organic rankine cycle unit.

 

PRODUCT SPECIFICATIONS

Product Sizes for all Customers

TAS Energy chilled water plant product designs range from 200 to 8,000 tons for individual units. These units are designed and constructed for flexibility according to our customer’s needs, and used in tandem to accommodate larger tonnage requirements such as in district cooling applications. TAS Energy’s largest project to date is a district cooling loop installed on Palm Island off the coast of Dubai, requiring over 120,000 tons of cooling from 24 of our 5,000 ton packaged units.

The Trane Product

Trane Modular Central Plant

Having been Trane’s largest single customer of centrifugal chillers for the past decade, TAS Energy has based many of its packaged central plant designs around Trane Chillers. Now, TAS and Trane have partnered to provide a complete line of Trane Modular Central Plant products. Each Trane branded modular central plant will include Trane chillers, Trane drives, & Trane controls, packaged with chilled water pumps, condenser water pumps, and a cooling tower - all pre-engineered, pre-wired and pre-piped for fast delivery, installation and start-up. Driven out of a simple web-enabled selection tool, package options range from 200 tons to 6400 tons in single or multiple chiller configurations. Products include:

  • Air Cooled Chiller Pump Package
  • Water Cooled Rotary Screw Chiller Plants
  • Water Cooled Centrifugal Chiller Plants
  • Boiler Plants

The Smardt Product

TAS and Smardt, the world's leader in oil free compressor chillers, have partnered to provide a complete line of Smardt Packaged Chiller Plant products. Each Smardt branded modular central plant will include Smardt chillers, ABB drives, & Kiltec controls, packaged with chilled water pumps, condenser water pumps, and cooling towers - all pre-engineered, pre-wired and pre-piped for fast delivery, installation and start-up. Driven out of a simple web-enabled selection tool, package options range from 100 tons to 2400 tons in single or multiple chiller configurations.
