Chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality Visits TAS Energy Headquarters
Houston, Texas. – TAS Energy, an industry leading technology company providing economic renewable energy and energy efficiency modular solutions, hosted the White House Council on Environmental Quality Chairwoman Nancy Sutley who was joined by U.S. Representative for the 18th Congressional District of Texas Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee on Tuesday, June 28th.
Chairwoman Sutley and Congresswoman Jackson Lee met with TAS Energy executives for a policy discussion followed by a factory tour with TAS employees. The policy discussion focused on the immense job creation and economic growth opportunities in developing a U.S. waste heat market. Energy to provide power for more than 10 million American homes evaporates into the air in the form of waste heat from industrial as well as refinery processing every day. TAS Energy’s innovative technology can capture this waste heat to generate emission free power for onsite consumption, or for export to the grid (read more at www.heatispower.org).
The group also discussed the opportunity for the Federal government to take the lead in promoting energy efficient buildings by retrofitting inefficient air conditioning units in government facilities to those with twice the efficiency. “The least expensive megawatt is the one we never use” said Mike Brady, TAS Energy’s President. This initiative would result in a significant reduction in U.S. power demand at peak power periods as well as an enormous C02 emissions savings, while saving tax payers millions in utility bills.
Chair Sutley and Congresswoman Jackson Lee witnessed first hand projects that will be shipped across the country and around the world in the industries of high efficiency data centers, geothermal, waste heat, high efficiency commercial cooling and cooling for gas turbine power plants to efficiently increase their capacity at peak demand.
“TAS Energy is seeing rapid growth from our customer’s demands for economic, clean energy solutions. We are proud to showcase our contribution to U.S. economic growth; providing both jobs and U.S. export opportunities. We appreciate Chair Sutley and Congresswoman Jackson Lee taking the time to observe first-hand our company’s many energy efficiency and renewable energy innovations. We look forward to working with them to drive policy initiatives at the Federal level that achieve U.S. economic clean energy and export growth goals,” said Mike Brady, TAS Energy’s President.
