White House CEQ Chair to Join Houston Manufacturers and Students in Discussions on Energy Efficiency Manufacturing and Clean Energy Economy of the Future

WASHINGTON, D.C. – President Obama’s environmental advisor, Nancy Sutley, Chair of the White House Council Environmental Quality, will join local Houston workers and students Tuesday, June 28, 2011 to discuss the Obama Administration’s initiatives to bolster American clean energy and energy efficiency manufacturing, jobs, and global competitiveness. On Tuesday morning, Chair Sutley will join workers for a tour and roundtable discussion at Houston-based TAS Energy’s renewable energy and energy efficiency technology manufacturing plant.
Monday afternoon, Sutley will join students, faculty, and private sector partners of University of Houston Hines School of Architecture’s Green Components program for a roundtable discussion. Chair Sutley will discuss and engage with UH students and educators about the Administration’s initiatives currently underway to increase residential, commercial, and Federal building efficiency.
